A little bit of ....Recently

So our awesome ward was dissolved last month. Now all young married couples are to attend their home wards.
We kind of knew it was coming but it was still hard.
We have so many good friends in this ward that we didn't want to leave them.
These pictures are from a farewell party we had after the ward was dissolved. It was nice to see everyone but it made it hard to think we won't be meeting together again as a group.
The day before the meeting our husbands had to put up chairs so a few of the wives met at Beus Pond for a little stroll. =)
Caleb and I took Brooke and Ashton yesterday to the park. We kind of love these two. =)

Here's Ash mastering the rings.
Caleb and I decided to get a dog. Here is the one Caleb wanted....
This is the one that I wanted.
We still haven't decided so stay tuned and see what we choose. I promise to post about our trip to San Antonio soon, oh and Palm Springs. =)

Airport Blooper

So I just got to the airport in San Antonio, I went to check in with Frontier, and they said that my bag was 5.5 lbs over the limit so he could charge me $75 extra or I could remove 5.5 lbs worth of stuff. I know how cheap my husband is and really, I could buy everything in my suitcase for around $75 so I decided just to remove the excess. So I knelt down (in my skirt mind you) on the floor in front of the counter and we went through what stuff would weigh the most that I could get rid of. After a lot of trial and error I finally ended up throwing away my shampoo and conditioner and Caleb's 49ers beach towel =) mine too but his was a lot smaller than mine and carrying a hard back book that I finished last week with me through the flight. Kind of funny but frustrating. The employees were super nice but I'm sure my face was more than red from embarrassment. That's my crazy airport story. I’ll be home tonight and Caleb will be back tomorrow. Two weeks of vacation is fun but a little too long. =)

Lately...

Brooklyn was trying on a swimsuit her cousin gave her for their trip to Mexico and Ashton wanted to too.
Ashy's favorite part were the ruffles.
He quickly realized the hassle of taking off your swimming suit  when you have to use the bathroom.
This is my friend Tiffany and Debra Huber from work I LOVE the people I work with. =)
A girl I work with bought Caleb his favorite Oreos... and I tested them out for him.
I decided I wanted something difference with my hair.
It was getting so long... (and a little nappy in this picture)
So, I cut it. A lot of it. Almost 7 inches.
And went dark.
Real dark.
I haven't quite gotten used to styling it at this length.
Our Ward church ball team.
Sean's pose just kills me.
We visited the Howards to get our fill of Dick's crazy stories, Janet wouldn't let me take her picture. =)
Maybe I could get Caleb to post the latest story Dick told us "Anchor Clankers"... possibly one of his best stories yet. We love Dick and Janet and were worried that once B & M moved away we wouldn't see them as much but we try to keep in touch.
I will post soon with pictures from our Palm Springs vacation.

Jonah or is it Joanna?

So I babysit my nephew Jonah every Tuesday and we had a pretty fun time this last one.
He didn't think this style worked well with his cowlick.
He loved the idea of wings but I wasn't too conviced.
He was so good, he just sat there and let Caleb and I do his hair in all these crazy ways.
He loved this style but just felt like something was missing.
Right here he is trying to talk me into letting him wear some lipstick.
Caleb just wanted to snuggle with the cute little girl but Jonah wanted nothing of it, he just needed to be able to see himself in the mirror.
He really liked the ponytail with the white flower.
We tried the purple.....
But, he just had his heart set on the white.
He asked me to braid his hair next week so stay tuned. =)

Valentine Book

I love you so deeply,
I love you so much.
I love the sound of your voice
and the way that we touch.
I love your warm smile
and your kind, thoughtful way,
the joy that you bring
to my life every day.
and I’ll love you forever
with all of my heart.
I love you today
as I have from the start.

(the paper is a list of the 100 reasons why I love him)

This was our 5th Valentine's Day together and I wanted to do something special for him. Cara made a book like this for Hayden's birthday but Caleb didn't get to see it so he thought I made this up all on my own. He should have known better. =)

Old School Scrapbook Pages

Hollie and I saw this guy at Sears signing autographs so we got one. =)

We loved our foreign exchange students! I wouldn't recommend swimming in Company's Pond.

What a bunch of geeks. I don't even remember taking these pictures.

Mika was one of our foreign exchange students. I'm sure she thought we were crazy.

FHE at Nickelcade, always a classic.

Speaking of Classic.... Classic Skating was so much fun with Yayoi.

It was fun playing on the same softball team as Hollie.

Tugi is a friend of the familiy, my sisters and I put all of my moms jewlery on him.

My Grandma Smith is going blind. She bought a bunch of cards so she could just sign them and this is the one my mom got last week for her birthday! Special Pastor?!? (must mean favorite daughter)
