So my worst day was all the way back on Monday, but I'm only now able to really appreciate how funny it was. :) First I have to go to Sunday morning for you to really understand. I dropped Caleb off at the airport at like 8:00 that morning. Well dropped off, is what I wanted to do but he wanted me to stay with him while he checked his bags in and then wait for him to go through security. (Because extremely long drowned out good byes are always so much easier right?) Wrong!
Anyway, so after the atrocious departure I had to drive myself home trying to blink enough to keep the tears out of my eyes. All I could think about was going back to bed and forgetting that I was all on my own until near the end of the month. Well at least until I flew out there to be with him… which we ended up changing to an earlier date.
That's all the background you need to really get a feel for me and what I was going through. Come Monday morning I just wanted to go to work early and try to keep myself occupied. I went out to my car around 6:30 a.m. and realized that on the way back from the airport I left my lights on and my battery was dead. Not cool.
I tried to get anyone to help me and even pushed my car (in neutral) down the hill to the busier street in hopes that someone would give me a jump… no one did, so I ended up calling my mother-in-law who was so sweet to come and give me a jump. After she helped me she started to get teary eyed and asked how I was doing, not really what I needed at 7:00 in the morning. I told her I was fine and that I just didn't want to talk or else I'd be boobin all day. I brought my cell phone out with me just in case Caleb called and accidentally left it right next to the washer fluid container. As I was driving to work I started looking for my phone and remember when I left it. I quickly pulled over to see a smooched up mess.
I was able to try to look past that and just work but then around 4:15 I got an email from UPS telling me my package wasn't delivered. It was to my work address so I was concerned what package they were talking about. After opening and reading it I got an email telling everyone not to open the UPS-Virus email… oops, I spent the next 45 minutes on the phone with the help desk trying to fix my computer. Well actually it was my co-workers computer, I was borrowing hers when I did it (sorry Sheliece) Luckily the day got over and I'm able to laugh about it now. As long as I don't have another any time soon.
