High Wind Documentary Hour...

Today the power went out at work due to the crazy 100 mph wind. Apparently there were 11 trucks tipped over. You can read more about it HERE
5 or 6 of our nursing students' car windows were blown out while they were taking a test. This is the President of the DATC taking cardboard and tape out with one of them to help cover the window.
I had to take my friend Stefanie home and we decided to document our adventure.
It seriously looked like a war zone

My in-laws house from the street.
No way of getting in the driveway.... or out for that matter.
  Their new front yard.

8 trees down in the front yard and 1 in the back.
Driveway blockage.
Momma Rigby thought we were crazy for being so fascinated by all of this.

Hayden came out to check out the damage.
Pops Rigby said he spent 8 hours raking on Saturday now look at the lawn. :(
At least the mailbox stayed.
There is almost always a car parked right where that tree landed. We were blessed.

Hee hee.
It all seems so unreal, hopefully things get figured out quickly and we get power to all of those homes soon.

Oh my goodness! It's crazy all the damage that was done! Glad Caleb's parents seem optimistic. I feel bad for everyone involved :(. You got some pretty great pics of the destruction!

Thanks for documenting it. I've been looking at all the pictures on KSL and it's just absolutely crazy!

That is insane! I was suppose to work the closing shift tonight cause Tylene was sick and so I was watching footage on tv all day. It was insane! Glad that you had fun documenting and that you made it to your in laws safely!

Oh my heavens! Ryan's mom sent us text pictures of the hole blown in their house. I can't believe all those trees down. Not the rock chapel!! Crazy. But (in a sick sort of way), it was nice to look through these pictures and see my old neighborhood :). Glad everyone was safe.

In one of the pictures you look like it's your fault that the tree fell over. So sad about the Rigby's yard. I loved all the trees around it.

I drove from Layton to SLC in the wind. I honestly thought my car was going to flip over. It was one of the scariest things ever. On I15 I have a kids swimming pool blow from the NB lanes into the SB lanes, almost hitting my car but a few feet. Then I saw a metal shed do the same thing just a few cars in front of me. Luckily, my house and I survived. I saw that winds got up to 102 MPH.
