Adoption? I think so.

So this is what I've been doing at work the past couple hours. They are from Makemebabies.com. Most of our babies were seriously ridiculous looking. Not a good sign. This little girl is pretty cute though. This will be Sophia Nicole.

This girl is cute but maybe this will be Kim's baby instead..... yeah probably.
I'm not sure if this was a daughter or son. Either way it's pretty cute.

The only thing this baby has correct would be our pasty skin. Lucky her.
When am I honestly going to do my daughters hair in dreadlocks? Honestly?!?

How in the world did Caleb and I make this hideous redheaded baby? This makes me want to cry. :)
Let me know if you are as concerned as I am now about our own babies.

Husband Tag

I keep reading all of the fun husband tags, so here's my take on Caleb!

What is his name? Michael Caleb Rigby
How long have you been married? 1 1/2 years
How long did you date? We’ve known each other since junior high, but we started dating in 2005, got engaged in 2006, and married in 2007.
How old is he? 26
How old are you? 25
Who eats more sweets? Caleb does... he eats all kinds of sweets and ice cream at night, and it never shows!
Who said I love you first? Caleb. He said, "I love you" and I said “thank you”
Who is taller? Caleb is 7 inches taller than me. I feel like we're about the same height unless we are dancing or taking a picture together.
Who can sing better? I love to hear Caleb sing to me, but he would say I'm a better singer.
Who is smarter? Hmmm... I would have to say Caleb.
Who does the laundry? Me
Who does the dishes? Caleb
His guilty pleasure? Early morning basketball and watching One Tree Hill with me.
Who mows the lawn? We don’t really have much of a lawn, but he did help me water the flowers. Besides you, who is his best friend? Probably Justin, Zack, or Dave.
Who cooks dinner? Me.
Who drives? Me. But, he tells me to, since I tell him how to drive anyway.
Who is more stubborn? That is really a toss up, it depends on the situation.
Who kissed who first? Caleb, and I giggled like a teenager. (I totally didn’t see it coming)
Who asked who out first? We were friends long before we started dating, but I remember the first time we hung out I invited him to come give blood at my ward blood drive. We ended up spending the whole night together. (Not that way!?!)
Who proposed? Caleb
Who has more siblings? He does, his mother had children by the litter.
Who wears the pants? Caleb, but I pick them out :)
What is your favorite thing about him? He's very silly and playful. He's very patient and would do anything for his family! He's the hardest worker in the entire world and does everything he can to make my life as easy as possible. Plus, I love that he lets me go on crazy shopping sprees.

Worst Day EVER!!!

So my worst day was all the way back on Monday, but I'm only now able to really appreciate how funny it was. :) First I have to go to Sunday morning for you to really understand. I dropped Caleb off at the airport at like 8:00 that morning. Well dropped off, is what I wanted to do but he wanted me to stay with him while he checked his bags in and then wait for him to go through security. (Because extremely long drowned out good byes are always so much easier right?) Wrong!

Anyway, so after the atrocious departure I had to drive myself home trying to blink enough to keep the tears out of my eyes. All I could think about was going back to bed and forgetting that I was all on my own until near the end of the month. Well at least until I flew out there to be with him… which we ended up changing to an earlier date.

That's all the background you need to really get a feel for me and what I was going through. Come Monday morning I just wanted to go to work early and try to keep myself occupied. I went out to my car around 6:30 a.m. and realized that on the way back from the airport I left my lights on and my battery was dead. Not cool.

I tried to get anyone to help me and even pushed my car (in neutral) down the hill to the busier street in hopes that someone would give me a jump… no one did, so I ended up calling my mother-in-law who was so sweet to come and give me a jump. After she helped me she started to get teary eyed and asked how I was doing, not really what I needed at 7:00 in the morning. I told her I was fine and that I just didn't want to talk or else I'd be boobin all day. I brought my cell phone out with me just in case Caleb called and accidentally left it right next to the washer fluid container. As I was driving to work I started looking for my phone and remember when I left it. I quickly pulled over to see a smooched up mess.

I was able to try to look past that and just work but then around 4:15 I got an email from UPS telling me my package wasn't delivered. It was to my work address so I was concerned what package they were talking about. After opening and reading it I got an email telling everyone not to open the UPS-Virus email… oops, I spent the next 45 minutes on the phone with the help desk trying to fix my computer. Well actually it was my co-workers computer, I was borrowing hers when I did it (sorry Sheliece) Luckily the day got over and I'm able to laugh about it now. As long as I don't have another any time soon.

Ode to Kimmie

Today my baby sister is going through the temple. We are so proud of her. Last year Kim had a handsome little baby, Tyler. She placed him with LDS Family Services. Tyler has a loving family and both parents to raise him. Kim is so strong and amazing.

She now goes around speaking in Sacrament meetings with LDS Family Services about her experience. Kim has made such a change in her life and we are so proud that she has made righteous choices to get her to the temple.

She met Jonny while she was pregnant. He is such an amazing young man. He stood by Kim’s side throughout the entire pregnancy... and boy could she get ornery. Anyway, Kim told Jonny that she needed some time to just work through things on her own and Jon was understanding and accepted that. When Kim finally got to where she needed to be Jon was there ready to be with her. I love Kim so much and I love Jon for loving her as much as he does too. He is so good to her. Probably some times more than she deserves. :) Nevertheless, I am so excited to see my sweet baby sister all in white preparing to become an eternal family with her fiancĂ©.

Kim, I wanted to reminisce about a few of my favorite memories, before you go off and become an old married woman.

I remember how everyone thought we were twins in Pirates of Penzance.
We were goofing off in the dressing room when we heard our song and knew we were supposed to be on stage so we ran across the building holding our dresses up so we wouldn't trip.

I'm surprised they didn't ask us not to come back for the other performances.

I think the picture says it all. I had never broken a bone in my entire body until you came along... We were making Peanut Butter fingers at my house and we got hungry so we put them in the oven (bad idea #1) and drove over to Subway to get a sandwich. I was just getting settled back in the car and hadn't put my seatbelt back on (bad idea #2) When the intersection light turned green and I told you to go (bad idea #3) A crazy woman driver :) wasn't paying attention and ran through the red light taking off the front part of your car.

I made sure to catch myself with my neck/shoulder on the dashboard. When you saw that I was alright after some awesome bystanders gave me a blessing you went and made sure the woman driver and the people in the SUV (that she totalled as well) were okay too.

But the part that makes you the best sister ever is, you went and got the PB fingers out of the oven while I was taken away in the ambulance.

Next time let me drive, okay? I have a better driving record. :)

Kim you're the best little sister anyone could ask for. I'm sorry Hollie and I used to hold you down and put soap in your mouth when you swore...

Looks like we cured your "sailors mouth" though :)

I love you!

My little Garden

A while ago Caleb was at work and I was bored so I bought some bug spray and sprayed the outside of our condo.

I started pulling back the weeds from up against the house because that's where you need to spray the bug killer and I just kept weeding until I made a perfect little garden outside out back patio.

There was so much junk in the bushes. I wore gloves because I didn't want to get any diseases :)
I showed Caleb when he got home and he said I need to get out of the house more. Sweet kid. Anyway the next day I went about bought a dozen flowers. There was no rhyme or reason for the ones I picked, I just liked them.
Caleb really wanted Snap-dragons but there weren't any. After I had planted these ones my mom dropped off 18 snap-dragons to plant between my flowers. I don't have a picture of all of them, but here is what I've have been doing since I graduated. :)

Silly Caleb

So I showed Caleb the morphing pictures I had of him and he made me remove them. LAME, I had so much fun looking at Justin and Michelle's that I had to do it myself.

Just a side note . . .

It seems like everyone in our ward is pregnant. It is so exciting, I am happy for them and their new additions. Marci my sister in law just had a beautiful baby girl on Tuesday and Hollie my sister is due in September. Last year I found out, I have PCOS Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which will make it difficult to get pregnant and even if we are able to it may not go the full term. So a couple weeks ago, I had a miscarriage. While I have experienced far more enjoyable things in my life, it was good to know that we were able to get pregnant. We're excited to keep trying :) I will let you know what happens.

Kids

My friend told me, "blogs are only for people with kids." But we don't have kids, so I decided to show you a couple of things my brother-in-law Jed added to his List of why Caleb and I can't babysit Brooklyn.

Special thanks to Michelle, Andrea, and Cara.

After only 9 short days and a little help from the girls mentioned above I figured out how to add more to the blog!

Caleb and I like to pretend we are supermodels.... What? You guys don't do that?

Sometimes I like to have a fake mustache.

But sometimes I don't :)

Blog?

We're going to try to figure this whole blog thing out. Maybe when I'm not at work I'll work on it some more.
