Scorpions

Caleb has a list of 5 band that he has to see before he dies. (really it's before the band members die) Scorpions were on that list, so with a little encouragement from Adam and Cara we decided to go. There is definitely a "type" of people that go to these concerts, and we don't fit it.

I wanted a picture of this hottie but as Caleb went to take the picture he turned around and saw the camera completely on him so Caleb pretend like he was taking a random picture of me. Haha
Buttless chaps? Check. (always a necessity for concert goers)
Getting ready to get rocked like a hurricane... (that one's for you Adam)
Crazy Cara you could tell she was a rock star at heart.
Adam and Caleb went to scope out the other peeps at the concert while Cara and I saved our spot.
(um, I just noticed Caleb is in the background of that picture so clearly that is before they left)
Here are our concert companions.
We've been to a few concerts with these two and I have to admit, this one was by far the best.
These drunk people were almost more entertaining than the show. =)

I especially like his kick at .08 seconds.
We had just as much fun sitting and watching the people as we did enjoying the music.
These two guys were so odd. The one lying down must have had a big dinner because he undid his pants and lifted up his shirt and just let his belly hang out. Awkward....
I love this kid.
Here is that crazy dancing couple... this was before he dropped his beer all over.
Adam and Cara put their top baby names in a hat and drew the winner during "Winds of Change"
It was a neat experience to be there with them.
They both had huge grins when they saw what the name was, I'll let them tell you the winner.
Adam and Caleb were copying the dance moves of a girl in front of us.
Cara and I nearly died from laughing so hard.
We definitely looked a lot better at the beginning of the night. =)
We didn't want the night to end, but we had to get up early for work the next morning.
We had a fellow concert goer take our picture for us... the first picture was of his finger, so this was our better option.
Cara and I found these lookers.
It was obvious her guys were posers. Mine on the other hand were the real deal.

Surprise....

This year for Caleb's 28th birthday I made him work for his presents. =) He has been so busy studying for the GMAT that we haven't had much quality time together so I was grateful he went along with my little scavenger hunt.

Here I am holding his first hint. I was so excited. I swear Caleb and Justin took the long way home.

I thought I was excited, look at that face. He's just like a little boy.

Resistance bands he needed to go with the P90X he got from Tanner and Kristin (thanks guys)

While he was going to grab the gift he smacked his already jammed finger. :( He put on a brave face for the picture.

I've heard so many good things about this book. He mentioned that he wanted to read it and I secretly went to Fanzz and used his discount to buy it. Sweet!

He was genuinely surprised to get this. He wouldn't let me put up the first picture I took. He looked like a goober.

The hint for this one read "Getting close but not quite there, behind the ___  ___ not the love chair"

It really took him much longer than it should have to find this. =)
What could it be?
A big propane tank, which means….
No more mini grill for us!
Don't mind the amazon behind Caleb. We photoshopped it in, no way is that our backyard, right?

Yay for birthdays!
I just love him so much.

I feel so blessed to be married to Caleb. He is such a great husband. He is loving and caring and always takes care of me. He is a wonderful provider. We’ve been through a lot together but I wouldn’t have it any other way. It has brought us closer together. Sometimes when we sit in bed and talk we wonder if other people can really be as in love as we are. I hope this newlywed feeling never goes away. Here are some of the things I love about him.

I love cuddling with him when we watch TV. I love the way I feel safe in his arms.

I love when he sings loud in the car then looks at me when it’s my turn.

I love that he learned my favorite song on the guitar so he could sing it to me when I got back from Florida.

I love that when we hold hands they fit perfectly together.

I love how he jokes with my family and has easily secured the favorite child spot with my parents.

I even love when I visit Hollie and Ash looks passed me waiting for him to come in.

I love the way his little brothers look up to him.

I love when he says “you’re married to Caleb Rigby, and that’s cool”

I love you Caleb Rigby!

EXTREMELY graphic post

Honestly, I am not teasing. These pictures are not for the weak stomach folk.

On Friday I had surgery to remove a keloid from my upper arm. Normally I have a strong stomach for things like this, but apparently not when it's on my body and I can feel/see it. It really wasn't that big of a deal but it was kind of gross. It really looks a lot worse than it was. I think Caleb was more traumatized by the whole experience than I was. ;)

Here is the pre-op picture with the awesome magic marker on my arm. I was worried Dr. Checketts was going to do an “I heart mom” tattoo but he refrained.

Dr Checketts called Caleb over to see this part and see if he wanted to take a picture. Ha ha rude huh?  I must have tilted my arm when Caleb was getting ready to take the picture because as I did, blood trickle down my arm. He was so distraught. I did not think he was going to make it back to his seat.
I teased Caleb about him not being able to be in the room during our children’s deliveries and he said “I can be in the room, I just won’t be playing catcher behind home plate”

I really thought I would want to watch the surgery but then when we got there I didn’t dare to look at it. I was worried I’d pass out so I had Caleb document as much as he could.

(the yellow around it is iodine)
I didn’t bruise much until the second day.
Lucky for me we had family pictures on Saturday. I took the bandage off because it would be too hard to hide in the pictures, then I was strategically positioned to make it work. =)

As long as I keep the wrap on it doesn’t bother me, but when I take it off my arm starts throbbing. I am supposed to leave it on for 3 more weeks so I don’t really have a reason to have it off except that the wrap bugs me.
Today it looks a lot better. The bruise is not more yellowish and almost gone; the worst part now is it is starting to itch.

Minor Heart Attack

Here's some recent stories as to why we have had some minor heart attacks at our house:

A couple weeks ago we got home late from the fireworks. I noticed that we had left the front door unlocked and that made me nervous. I went upstairs to our bedroom while Caleb was in the kitchen. I turned the bedroom light on but it didn’t go on (it was turned off but the fan went on) so the room was pitch black. I carefully started toward the nightstand to turn on my reading light there and ran into what I thought was a man crouched down ready to attack me. I screamed like a girl, Caleb was understandably worried but I reassured him nothing was wrong once I realized, I in fact ran into the laundry basket that Caleb had “put away” earlier. (Apparently next to my side of the bed)

Last week Caleb had a massive head ache all day. When we were going to bed I offered to get him some medicine. I grabbed some Tylenol from the medicine drawer and came back; he then asked if I had a drink. Oops, so I ran down stairs and grabbed his water bottle from the fridge. When I came back the little rat had gotten out of bed and was hiding in the office so I walked past him into the bedroom. He then jumped out and scared me. I screamed so loud, I was terrified! I threw his water bottle at him when he jumped out so he had to get his own drink. Too bad. =)

Here's a picture of me hiding in the food pantry waiting for Caleb so I could scare him. You can tell he was a little cautious because I was being so quiet in the kitchen. =)

I would love to take credit for Ashton's desire to scare people but I'm sure that comes from his father.

When we lived with Jed and Hollie (before we moved into our house now) Jed was always trying to scare me. One night when I was getting home late I came in through the garage and Jed was hiding under his truck. He grabbed my ankle as I walked by. I'm sure you can imagine my fright. He's just lucky he kept his arm. I almost did the Riverdance on it when he scared me.

White Rock

Hollie and Jed went hiking with Caleb and I on Antelope Island to White Rock. It was a beautiful hike (about 2 miles) and once you get to the top you can see lots of different firework displays throughout the county. On our way up we saw this girl pulling her mom in a wagon, so naturally (with a little encouragement from me and Hollie) Caleb and Jed volunteered to take turns pulling her up.
Tuey was extremely grateful for our help. I guess about 20 people had passed them up before we got to them.
The sunset over the water was beautiful.
Jed and Hollie probably don't look very tired here because they pulled once the trail leveled off (at least that's what Caleb kept saying to them) ;)

Here's Tuey and her mom Chang (?)
It is very difficult to take a picture while it's pitch black. Especially when Jed is involved.
It was an awesome experience, but I think I'd rather be closer to the fireworks where you can feel the explosions. =)
We've been to 6 different fireworks so far and we still have 2 more planned. I LOVE the 4th of July!

Who knew Hayden could fly?

At family dinner on Sunday we had this human rubberband (i think that's what they called it). Just leave it to the Rigby boys to have a good time. =)

Caleb and I watched this video over and over last night laughing so hard. When Caleb and Gavin switched sides they flung Hayden into middle where he tripped Brandon who fell down laughing. Then Caleb admits it was his fault.
**(I laugh really loud in the video and it's pretty annoying so you might want to turn the volume down)

It took them a while but they finally got the hang of it. =)

The girls wanted to get in on the action but they didn't quite understand. (Look at Rocky running around hugging people)

Here is a cute picture of the Rigby grandkids.
Mars made me the cute bag. I love it. I decided I'm going to start being crafty too... we'll see how long that lasts. =)
