Here is the recipe for the delicious chocoloate chip cookies that Caleb swears changed his life. Just remember if you try these you'll never go back. They're just that good.

Natalie's Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 c shortening

1 1/2 c brown sugar, firmly packed

1 1/2 c sugar

4 eggs unbeaten

3 1/2 c flour

2 tsp soda

2 tsp salt

2 tsp vanilla

12 oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips

4 cups oatmeal

Bake @ 375 for 10 minutes on greased cookie sheet

Here are some pictures after the clean up. The Rigby's used to have a row of trees up by the street and another random row in the middle of the lawn (someone was going to build on the top of the lot when they planted it). But now there is just a big open space.

Mike was pretty optimistic about the future saying that now they have a fresh start with the landscaping and they can do whatever they want. Caleb was also excited that now they'll have a bigger yard to play football on.

One of the trees took out a some of the fence and the basketball hoop.

It looks so different.

You can now see the house from the street. So weird.

We went with my sisters and their families to pick a tree and see the lights at the Layton Park.

I put Boston inside my jacket and Kim zipped him up.

He was perfectly happy but he kept sneaking his hand out to push down the blankets to get a better look at the lights.

This is the best picture I could get of Ashton he was all over the place trying to see everything.

The sweet little baby fell sleep

Back at Hollie's for hot chocolate when creeper Caleb jumped in the picture at the last second.

Caleb is such a good babysitter. I snuck the sleeping baby in there while Caleb was studying. He "watched" Boston like this for about 15 minutes while I cleaned up, before he even realized. =)

At the Rigby family dinner Caleb and I got to hold our newest Rigby niece Eleanor (or Ellie as Caleb calls her). She's super mello, and has a full head of hair like Ernie. =) So dang cute.

Kim brought Claire over so she could run to Kohls. She's kind of the perfect baby.

Funny story. My friend Natalie Bird makes the honest-to-goodness BEST chocolate chip cookies ever! Momma Rigby has an amazing recipe too. So last Sunday I was making some cookies to take to my Visiting Teaching ladies, and Caleb came down to help and said "Natalie's cookies have changed my life." Haha, silly boy. Usually if his Momma didn't make it he won't like it, but he gave these a chance and now he's hooked. Me too, because they're delicious.

I'll send the recipe to anyone who wants it. Just be warned you'll never go back to your old recipe.

High Wind Documentary Hour...

Today the power went out at work due to the crazy 100 mph wind. Apparently there were 11 trucks tipped over. You can read more about it HERE.

5 or 6 of our nursing students' car windows were blown out while they were taking a test. This is the President of the DATC taking cardboard and tape out with one of them to help cover the window.

I had to take my friend Stefanie home and we decided to document our adventure.

Introducing Claire Jane Fluckey

My baby sister Kim had her girl Claire Jane Fluckey.
November 3, 2011 weighing 6 lbs 9oz and 19 inches long.

She had a heck of a time finding a name that worked with Fluckey (pronounced lucky with an f) but I think Claire works perfectly. She is such a doll. Each time I visit Jonny is staring at her in amazement.

Thriller, Funeral and Staples

Saturday morning my 9-months prego seester and I went to the Bountiful Temple. It was so nice. I’m embarrassed to admit I haven’t been since I was released as a volunteer when the Ogden temple closed back in April.

Later Caleb took me to Thriller!!! I LOVE it so much.

I was glad we accidentally got a creepy photobomber in our Thriller pictures.

My sweet Grandma Smith passed away this week. You can read her obituary here.

Grandma loved when I would bring her egg plants from my in-laws garden.

Last month when she had to get her finger pricked before her dialysis the nurse asked, "do you have a preference of which finger to use?" My smart alec grandma replied with "Yeah, yours"

My dad told a story my grandma's sister had wrote about when they were younger. My great grandpa told her and my grandma to spit out their gum and go to bed. As they got into their bedroom she asked how she still had gum, my grandma's response was, "don't you wish you would've bit yours in half." Haha

Here's my sweet mom with her mom.

I love you grandma. Who am I going to take shopping now? I miss you.

At the funeral Caleb put Brooke and Ash up in a tree so they wouldn't be in the way. =)

Kim took two pictures of Caleb and I at the gravesite up in Eden. Neither of us were ready for either so this is the better option. Thanks Kim, you're a peach.

The whole family at the gravesite, it was such a nice service everything including the weather was perfect. But it is nice to have it all over with so now we can move on and heal.

Now onto the staples… Thursday during work I got a call from Caleb saying Indee had fell at school and needed stitches. (Mike and Kathy had just left that morning on a two-week cruise to Istanbul, Turkey, and Greece) When I got to the school Indee was bawling in the nurses office holding an icepack on her head. I nearly lost it right then. But knew I had to be strong for her in this scary situation. With a little help from Feliz we learned the insurance card was taped to the fridge with authorization to treat all of the kids. So we went to the instacare. This next picture was of us hanging out in the waiting room. (Clearly we pulled our selves together)

Here is a picture of the battle wound. She was going to sit back in her chair but thought it was closer so she fell to the ground and bumped the back of her head on her chair.

The battle wound. Three staples. Poor Indee was so scared she asked if she could wait until her parents got back, but the doctor said no. So once we got to the surgical room she asked the doctor and nurse if she could “have a moment with her sister” =) I told her we better get this done and that it is just three little staples. (3 staples not being put in my own head) Anyway, she asked if we could say a prayer. Seriously, is she the sweetest little thing ever? So we did, and it turned out to be a really quick process. She said cleaning the wound out was worse than the actual staples.

Now onto the funny part… When we pulled into the driveway we decided to play a joke on Feliz and Gavin. I told them that Indee had lost her memory but that the doctors said it should come back soon. Feliz just stared at her a little unsure what to think. But Gavin was so freaked out. He wouldn’t come near her. Then Indee and I started laughing and told them we were teasing.

Alison and I helped with the pig racing at the corn maze for Young Women's on Tuesday and won these awesome rings.

Thursday we had delish fajitas with our friends the Pavlovich's. Sweet Makenna let me hold her and Caleb feed her. We are definitely wearing her out.

Friday night we had AMAZING ribs and played some awesome games with these two friends.

What happens at game night stays at game night. Right guys? ;)

I had a work party on Saturday.

I freakin' love these crazy ladies.

My dad and Caleb changed my thermostat. I was in the kitchen making parfaits when Caleb groans, "Babe, help" I run to the door and he's just chillin' on the creeper (the thing you roll under cars with). So I said, "are you kidding me?" and he replied, "that is the sweetest thing ever" then says to my dad "after almost 5 years of marriage we're still in love"

Saturday morning while the boys were working on the car I made 80 shot glass parfaits for Boston's baby blessing.

I think they turned out so cute. Plus they were super easy. This I would recommend.

I cannot believe what a perfect little boy Boston is, Brooke and Ashton smother him and he doesn't even seem to notice.

Sad/Hilarious Story
Last week I was over at Hollie's and Brooklyn was showing me this song/dance she learned in kindergarten. Then Brooke swung her little purse around and accidentally smacked Boston up side the head while he was seated in his Bumbo. He also tipped over! He looked around like "what the heck was that about" then went on playing with his fingers. Seriously he is the such an angel.

Homemade Hostess Cupcake Cake Balls

So I found the greatest recipe blog on Pinterest. It is called Sugar Derby. She has lots of recipes and pictures to go along with them. These darn cake balls took me about 5 hours to make, there are about a million steps. Ugh, I don't think I'll make them again but they were super cute.

My frosting bag. I must have been squeezing too hard because the bag broke open and I got frosting all over my hand.

I dipped the cake balls in the melted chocolate. Delish

Florida picture overload

Caleb and I were in need of a vacation, so we took a week off and used the exchange program from Vacation Internationale and went to Florida. Still the best purchase ever!

We stayed at Vacation Village in Weston. Weston has the highest median income in Florida, at a whooping $83,000. Crazy huh? It is a very nice city and a great location.

This resort was one of the nicer places we've stayed. We might go back again next year.

In our restaurant guide there was this delicious place called the Ice Cream Club of Weston. It said that you get a free scoop on your birthday so that was the first place we went after we arrived at the resort so Caleb could get his free scoop.

Adam and Cara let us take their GPS and every time we were going towards Ft. Lauderdale it would say "Feet Lauderdale"

The comedians were hilarious. Caleb cried a few times.

then he said, "let's go upstairs and make a purple baby." We both laughed so hard we cried.

We spent most of the day at our own pool it was that awesome.

Then we headed over to the golf course.

The Everglades were right across the freeway from us. We took an airboat ride to see some alligators.

We had to stop by Ron Jon Surf Shop to pick up the perfect gift for Leecy.

Try and imagine that you’re from Atlanta and you have to fly to Utah for a business trip. While on the trip, you go to the opening day of “Singles Ward” the movie in Provo. Well, that’s pretty much what happened to us in Florida. Caleb and I went to “The Help” on opening day in Fort Lauderdale. There were 5 other white people there and we weren’t quite sure if could/should laugh at all the parts that everyone else was.

I have not seen a crowd get so involved in a movie with some "uh huh," "oh girl," and stampede of feet stomping. Awkward yet hilarious. Bonus, Caleb bought us some Cotton Candy, it was delish.

We spent most of the time at Miami south beach even though it was further away but the water was crystal clear.

The first picture didn't show how clear it was so I asked Caleb to sit so I could take a picture of him. =)

Then on our last day in Florida we went to the Miami Zoo.

I was trying to help keep her modest. Just like I tell my Young Women, "Modest is the Hottest!"

We were too cheap to pay for a camel ride so we took a picture of these guys and are going to pretend it's us.

The fences at the zoo were about up to your thigh, and had a tiny ditch between. So scary.

We had to buy two packages of granola bars because we never like the same kind. I pulled them out of the backpack for Caleb to grab his and he thought I was giving him the option and picked mine.

We went with Hollie and the kids to the Lakeside Elementary yearly carnival.

Hollie told us Brooke said,

“when Caleb and Becky get here, you and Becky watch Boston,

and Caleb can take me to have fun.”

Luckily she let Ashton "have fun" with them too. =)

The day before we went to Florida, my mom, sisters, niece, and I went and got pedicures from the DATC. Look at Kimmie's cute prego belly, she'd kill me if she ever actually read my blog =)

Brookie was a little nervous about sitting in her own chair so she shared with me.

Literally 5 minutes after this picture I ruined my polish so I had to repaint them myself when I got home. Lame.

This picture is awesome. Brooke was playing by the wall and we told her to show us her toes and this is what she did.

Hollie and Brooke started school on Monday. We told Brooke she was going to have the cutest toes in Kindergarten.

Bees, Brunch, and Babies

Caleb and Justin had their work party at a Bees game this year. It is so fun having them work together. Caleb tells me all of the silly things they do, it seems like more play than work sometimes.

A week before the baby was due Hollie brought the kids to my work and we had a picnic.

It was so fun to have brunch with these guys. Thanks Hol!

Caleb and Jed were working on Jed's mom's house last Saturday, so Hollie and I took the kids to Syracuse Heritage Days where we met up with Kim and Parker.

This picture is so typical of these two I had to include it. Brooke is a sweety and Ashton is such a pill. =)

Puerto Vallarta

So we just finished paying off our Vacation Internation timeshare this month. Caleb is liking the idea a lot more now that it's paid off. When we paid our yearly dues early we got a free trip to Puerto Vallarta

Sweet Ancy. She was the concierge at Vallarta Torre. This picture makes me laugh. It's like Caleb and Ancy are my proud parents. Haha

I laughed my head off when I saw these pictures on the camera. Caleb was "studying" in the room so I went down to the pool to lay out and read.

Boy, was I surprised to find these paparrazi pictures.

I was laying out reading my book when the music started blaring and I noticed all these old people in the pool for water aerobics.

One of these things is not like the other......

We tried to pay with our card but the only accepted cash so we gave them a $50 dollar bill but this restaurant only took pesos. We figured this out AFTER we ate our meal.

We were afraid they were going to make us stay and work for our lunches. Luckily one of the sweet employees took our cash to the exchange place next door and got us pesos. (we didn't have our passports with us which apparently you need to exchange money)

We wanted a picture with the guard with the machine gun but every time we went to take it he would move so I would repositon myself. Finally he started shaking his finger at Caleb but we didn't realize this until we were looking at the pictures. Oops.

Thirty, Flirty, and Thriving

Leave it to Hollie to almost ruin her own surprise party. =) For Hollie's 30th birthday, I threw her a surprise party. Which I'm sure you're thinking, "that is so sweet." Haha, Hollie HATES to be the center of attention so really I was being a little rat.

We had planned that I was going to take her to lunch for her 30th birthday then we'd go shopping well a half hour after we were supposed to meet she calls and tell me to meet her at Jiffy Lube because she wants to get her oil changed. Jed gave her a new camera for her birthday so I took a picture of her waiting in line at Jiffy Lube. She didn't understand why that was so funny at the time.

Below is a true story from my childhood told from Hollie's point of view, she reads it to her third graders every year when they learn about personal narratives. I've added some pictures from the party as well as a few from our childhood to make it more entertaining. =)

Caught in the Kitchen

The following story is an account of a risky adventure gone wrong. Two Junior High school girls seek entertainment through a little mischief. As told by Hollie Fisher

It was a warm summer night when my sister and I were talking late in the living room. My parents had gone to bed and so we tried to keep our laughing down so we didn’t wake them. We were talking about boys when we decided we might have a little fun. There was a boy in our neighborhood that we liked to joke around with, so we made him our target. After a little creative thinking we started packing up the materials we needed to pull of a successful job. We raided the kitchen. We packed some Cheerios, pickles (with juice), leftover cake, popcorn balls, corn flakes and of course TOILET PAPER.

Finally we were ready to move. We snuck out the back door and left the light on for when we returned. We were almost to the back gate when I whispered to Becky “did you lock the door.” “No” she said. “Good” and we were on our way. We walked quickly down the dark deserted road to our target house a few blocks away. Then all of a sudden a car came around the corner and straight towards us. “Quick behind that bush” I whispered in a panic to Becky and we slid out of sight just in time. But, when we dove behind the bush Becky spilled some Corn Flakes on the street. “We’ve got to clean this up” I said. “We can’t leave any evidence behind.” We kicked the Cornflakes onto the grass where they wouldn’t be noticed. “That was a close one,” Becky said as she took a deep breath.

We finally reached the house that we had marked to do some creative damage to that night. It was a one story beautiful home with beautiful grass and a long driveway up to the front door. We noticed the front light on, which illuminated the pretty lace curtains in the front window, but not a single light was on in the house. There were no trees along the pathway up to the house so we would have nowhere to hide. We needed to act quick. Get in and get out- not waste any time. One wrong step, or any noise at all, could wake the family inside and we would be caught.

We got the job done quick just like we wanted. Becky took the TP and went to work. I started pouring the cereal, pickles, and cake all over the walkway and porch. Just as I finished I looked over and she was on her last roll. I ran to help her finish up when we heard a huge “Ruff.” It was Rocky the huge family Doberman. He was looking out the window and right at us as let out another huge bark. Becky looked at me with a look that said “we are in for it now.” The dog barked again and a light in the house flicked on. We froze only for a second. Then we both realized what we had to do. RUN!!!!!! We took off as fast as lightning down the street. Though the sound of us breathing was so loud we still managed to hear the door to the house creek open. We made it around the street corner and Becky, in between her loud panicked breathing, says, “do you think they saw us?” “I don’t know” I said in a small but strong voice, trying not to sound scared.

We didn’t stop running until we were safe in our own backyard. We stood there at the gate and caught our breath. I put my hand on Becky’s shoulder to hold me up. We caught our breath and we both looked up at each other the started laughing harder than we had ever laughed before. There was nothing funny. I don’t even know why we were laughing. Maybe it was because we were proud we had done it, or that we both looked so funny running down the street like mad in the middle of the night. Or maybe, it was because we were glad that we were safe back home and we hadn’t gotten caught. We giggled up to the door giving each other high fives. Becky grabbed the door knob to the back door and stopped laughing when it didn’t turn. “It’s locked” she said. I laughed “Yea Right” She tried to turn the knob again. “It really is” said Becky getting a little angry. “Stop joking around” I said as I grabbed the door knob and tried to push the door open. I stood there for a moment in amazement. It really was locked and I knew that this meant trouble.

I knew for a fact that all the other doors were locked. “I thought you said you didn’t lock it” I accused. “I didn’t” she said right way. I knew that arguing wasn’t going to make the door magically unlock so I started to think what we could do. “The window” Becky said as she peered over my shoulder. “It’s open just a crack..” “We are saved I thought, “But how are we going to get up there?” “I’ll give you a boost Becky said as she crouched over beside the window. I struggled to get up on her back.. Then I stood up and reached for the window. “A little closer” I whispered. She inched closer. I tugged on the window. It barely moved. I tugged harder and it slammed all the way open with a bang. “ SHHH” I could hear Becky say from underneath me. I knew we still had to be quiet. Our mission would be ruined if we woke up mom or dad when we were trying to get back in. I slipped the small window screen out of the window and lowered it to the ground. Then I started to shimmy through the very small window. I got my arms through and my stomach, but it was almost impossible to get my legs through without falling through the other side onto the kitchen floor. I felt like I was stuck. I wasn’t going anywhere, not in, not out. I may be in this window forever.

Just as Becky gave me a little boost higher to try to help, in the silence of the cool night I thought I heard something then ‘click’ the kitchen light flicked on. There in his bathrobe in the kitchen doorway stood my dad. His eyes we tired and angry as he stared at me stuck in the kitchen window. I thought it must be a funny sight so I giggled a little, but I stopped immediately when I saw he wasn’t laughing. This was going to be a long night.

I know everyone thinks their grandma is the cutest but seriously... look at GP (grandma park)

The light was in grandma's eyes. haha

Once she figured it was the flash from the camera she smiled big.

Hollie brought her kids and we went to visit GP in her assisted living home.

There are lots of pictures here but I just couldn't get rid of any of them.

Grandma only remembers Caleb's name. It was a little hurtful at first but now I can appreciate it.

We took Brooke and Ash to the Syracuse Family Fun Center while Hollie and Jed went out.

I love their cute little bums while Caleb was teaching Brooke.

I thought it would be a lot easier to use the ramp.

Brooke agreed.

Ashton's cute pink ball finally got to the pins.

It was always Ashton's turn ...on every lane.

We just finished the plumbing and electrical. Who would've thought remodeling would take so long. =) We'd narrowed the tile patterns down to 2 but then we checked out a book on tiling and decided we'd want to tile a little up the wall and around the shower too, so I'll put the other options up here again.Picking the sink is a little tricky. Keep Portland Weird

Caleb and I went up to Oregon to visit Brandon and Marci in Eugene. If you thought Portland was weird wait until you see Eugene. =) We lost our camera on the way home from Oregon which really sucks. I didn't take many pictures with my phone because I forgot to bring the charger so it was almost dead the entire trip.

The very first thing we noticed in Oregon is that everyone was going the speed limit. Odd. We had to drive 2 hours from Portland to Eugene and it is safe to say that this was the case the entire trip. We were flying passed cars while driving only 5 or 6 mph over the speed limit.

Don't get me started on the toilets. Push up for liquid waste... push down for the flush of shame.

We were told we HAVE to check out VooDoo Doughnuts. Luckily for us it was right outside our hotel.

The Magic is in the Hole. All of their doughnuts have unique names.

Captain My Captain, The Loop, Bacon Maple Bar, Dirt Doughnut, Old Dirty Bugger, Miami Vice Berry, and Double Bubble.

The Gay Bar. You’ve got to give them props for their creativity.

On our first day in Eugene Caleb and I went to Brandon's Spanish class. We had a difficult time finding his class because we were only given the name of the building he taught in (thanks for that by the way Brands) anyway, so we walked around the outside looking in the classrooms windows.

Brandon had all of the students eating out of his hands. Everyone laughed at his jokes, answered questions, and participated in the lecture.

The lecture was on pastime activities. The example in the book had knitting, but he wanted to relate it to U of O students so he changed it to Beer Pong.

The best part of the PowerPoint - emborracharse.

He wore his Weber State shirt to make us feel at home.

We snuck a picture when the professor wasn't looking. (note to self - don't take a picture so early in the morning the day after a long day of traveling.)

He honestly didn't know I was secretly taking pictures while he helped some students after class which makes these next 3 really awesome.

Marci let me get the girls ready for church on Sunday and both girls were absolutely perfect.

Burgerville USA rocked our socks off! Everything is fresh, local, and sustainable... I don't know about the last thing, but it was on all of their advertising.

Our room was pretty standard but nice.

The bed made it difficult to want to wake up in the morning.

This pool was amazing, but the sauna was even better.

Bathroom Tile Design

We are finishing our basement but we have such different tastes, that we decided to get others opinions. Keep in mind we already have the color of tile we want picked out...kind of. =) So this poll is really which design you like best. Also, keep in mind the area we are doing is only 5x5 after the tub is installed so it's a really small space. Best Christmas Ever!!

Caleb and I had a busy Christmas vacation... it's always a lot of fun but it's nice to have it over with so we can get back to our normal routines. We didn't bring our camera with us to any of our parties so all of these pictures were taken from other people, these are some of my favorites.

I LOVE my "special" Mama.

Kimmie gets really excited opening her gifts.

My parents gave Caleb and I gift cards to Lowes (since we're finishing our basement) but wrapped them with a candy bars so we wouldn't know what they were. =)

Ash was a big help distributing presents this year.

Performance and GNO craft

We had our work party last week and were supposed to bring a white elephant gift so I got a cute candle set and put them in a Victoria's Secret bag. I found a picture of my boss online, so I edited it to say "Hugs and Kisses Love Susan" and put it in the bag. =)

My cute little sister-in-law had a performance at an assisted living place down the street from us so Caleb and I stopped by.

These darn kids were almost as tall as me so it was hard to get a good picture of Indee on the back row.

Caleb sure loves his baby sister.

I just love her cute little face. She was the best performer there.

My cute little Indee Baby. I've called her that since she was 5 I hope she doesn't mind.

I used to pick Indee up every time I went to the Rigby's while Caleb and I were dating. Now she's almost as tall as me.

We had our MSN hooding ceremony on Friday so here's Tiff and I waiting for everyone to leave so we could clean up.

Tiff is so weird. She was in the special classes in school.

We went to our ward Christmas party and guess who was there? Kelly, Avery, and Lacie. Twice in one week.

Hollie and Jed were doing their Christmas shopping so Caleb and I got to take the babies to the party with us. Guess if either of them sat on Santa's lap? Nope.

We really thought Ashton would...but no dice. I think it's safe to say he hates Santa.

Cute Brooke wrote Santa a letter so I thought she would at least give it to him but she honestly wouldn't come within 10 feet of him.

Dear Santa, thank you for the presents last year. I want a pony pillow pet please. I have been a good girl. can you bring me make-up too?

She's only 4! I think she is the smartest little girl ever.

Our Week 'O Fun

Adam and Cara had a beautiful baby girl Quincy on Sunday so we brought them dinner.

Really it was selfish of us, we just knew if we brought dinner we could hang out with them longer.

This is right before Cambria punched me in the nose.

She has a perfect button nose.

I think it is so cute when babies sprawl out like this. I imagine after 9 months inside of Cara's tummy it probably feels good just to stretch out.

I realize I took lots of pictures, I just couldn't get enough of this little girl.

I like to think that she is smiling for me in this picture.

Cambria needed lots of love too so we made sure to snuggle her for an extra long time.

As usual Caleb and Adam had to play a quick round of Tecmo Super Bowl.

Caleb was killing Adam so Cambria had to take matters into her own hands... or head. She bonked her head on the Nintendo which froze the game.

The little rat wouldn't smile. She kept saying take another, I'm gonna smile now, but she wouldn't.

So I had to tickle her.

She was pretty bummed when we were leaving so we offered to take her with us but she just wanted to stay home with her mom and Quincy.

We love baby Quincy, she is the perfect addition to the Rigby family.

Then the next night we stopped by my sister's after the gym. Brooke and Ashton know Caleb is the fun one. Anytime we go over there they always run to him. =)

They hopped on Caleb so he would do push-ups with them on his back. They were laughing until we got the camera out.

We love our family and are grateful that most of our best friends are related. =)

Palm Springs / Orange County Vaca

Better late than never eh?

Caleb and I had a wonderful opportunity to vacation to the Oasis in Palm Springs CA. We have gone to a couple time-share presentations where they put you up in a nice resort as long as you listen to their 90 minute presentation.

Caleb is the king of saying “No” so he’s not phased by these things, it's ME that he makes practice saying no before the presentations, but then once we get there and listen I always want what they offer.

Even the kiosk people in the mall’s can tell that I’d buy anything. I usually wait until they are distracted with someone else before I sneak by. I really have a problem. I just can’t say no when people are trying to sell me something. Anyway, I think that is why the time-share people keep inviting us back. We get to stay in amazing resorts that we would have never had the chance to otherwise plus they give $75 MasterCard and a $30 gas card. We’d be stupid not to go, or would we….

We are now proud owners of Vacation International Timeshare and RCI, the world’s largest and most experienced vacation exchange company. =) Wahoo, we’ll let you know how that goes.

Anyway, more about the resort, the villas were so beautiful.

The resort had 8 pools and 9 jacuzzis.

The odd numbered pools were heated. (I don’t know why you would need a heated pool in Palm Springs but it was nice)

We had our own dishes, silverware, dishwasher, garbage disposal, 2 large flat screen TV’s, an awesome hideaway bed (like on Charles in Charge), a washer and dryer in our unit, a huge grill, and 2 beach cruisers (bikes) on our deck.

These are not our usual hotel’s amenities so we were pretty excited.

We stayed in Palm Springs for 3 nights then spent the rest of our vacation in Costa Mesa. We did Disney’s Give a Day get a Day and got 2 free ticket to Disneyland which we found out the week before that my little sister Kim and her hubby Jonny were going to be there the same day. We had such a good time.

The next night we met up with one of my best friends from California. Pete Mania.

I wanted to take Caleb to the Fox Sports Bar and Grille in the Irvine Center to watch some March Madness games but unfortunately it had closed down since I lived there 6 years ago... oops

The Spectrum is a lot like the Gateway, but usually it's warm outside.

There was this massager chair and head massager that Pete and Caleb REALLY enjoyed.

By the end of the night Caleb and Pete had become best friends. I made them pose like this and neither of them were happy, but you'd never know. Haha

Overall, it was a great vacation and a great purchase. Caleb had a little buyers remourse but I'm in love! We paid our annual dues early and got a free 7-day cruise, 3 other free vacations and 2 bogo flights. I love love love to vacation so I knew if I got Caleb to get this we'd have to go.... and it worked ;)

This year for Halloween Caleb wore his Snow jersey and I went as a referee. Which Caleb informed me was for the wrong sport… haha

He looked super hot in his jersey. I'm glad he still has it. ;)

While rummaging through Mama Rigby's Halloween costumes we found a padded buttocks. We all tried it on and laughed our heads off. I decided to wear it with my costume.

I should have taken a before and after picture because you just can’t tell how incredibly huge it was. I know that I have a very flat behind but with this I was rockin’ the booty.

Eric and Debbie came with us to Jenny Wall’s killer party! So many of my good friends were there. Alaina and I were the representatives from each of our teams in a sudden death match of charades... luckily my team forgave me.

Now for this last weekend. Adam and Cara took us to Pier 49 for some delicious pizza, since we took them to Jason's Deli with our free money from City Deals.

My friend Mel and I got together for a lunch date and picnic at the park. (I brought Brooke and Ashton) She has two little boys the same ages as B and A. We had a good time but I think the kids were overly tired, because at the end this is what Ash came home looking like. :( He was sleeping when I dropped him off with Hollie but she called me laughing a few hours later and asked why her son looked like he got jumped in a dark alley. Oops kids will be kids right?

Saturday we went to the Jazz game for Caleb's work. We had a good time with Justin and Michelle.

Tate, Colby and I had matching Williams jerseys.

Tate was so cute all night. He is the perfect baby.

Caleb got a little jealous because Tate and I held hands.

Sunday night at family dinner my mom whipped out these awesome wigs she bought at an after Halloween sale.

They reminded Hollie and I of our rockstar days.

A special someone thought he looked dumb in the wig so he preferred to be left anonymous =)

Party Time in San Antonio!

This post is only 6 months late. That's how I roll. =) So for the Navy Caleb has to do his 2 week training in San Antonio Texas at Lackland Airforce Base (weird I know) anyway, the last two years I've been able to go with him. He usually would get home between 1 and 2 every day and would come home for an hour lunch so it was a great vacation for both of us. He took the rental car with him everyday (I'll tell you the story why at the end of the post) so I would go swimming/lay out and read until he got back. It was such a relaxing time. The place where we were staying was perfect. They had delicious breakfast every morning and appetizers in the evening on the weekdays.

The navy pays for Caleb's flight but we had to purchase mine. So this is Caleb picking me up from the airport.

On the second to last day in Texas it rained,

So I got a little bored waiting for Caleb to come back to the hotel for lunch. So naturally I entertained myself.

I was surprised this picture turned out so well. You can see his hands are full and he's trying to get his key card.

I got him pretty good.

We had a little picnic on the floor.... and not just because he dropped everything when I scared him.

We went to the Alamo Drafthouse for dinner and a movie. The food was really good and the previews before the show were awesome. Next year we'll definitely have to go back there. We saw Iron Man (I think). Most of the movies we saw while in Texas were all Caleb's choice. =)

So one night I wanted to see Letters to Juliet and Caleb wanted Robinhood so we went to different movies. It was so weird, yet liberating. =) Caleb sat next to some family and stole popcorn from their little boy. ;)

We went to the San Antonio Zoo. Caleb was a natural with the goats.

Clearly I need some practice.

15 seconds earlier the tan goat took advantage of me.

Caleb snacked on Alligators for lunch.

Then rode the baby elephant over to the bear exhibit.

We really thought they'd be bigger.

Especially since their paws are so big.

Overall it was a good day at the zoo.

We also went to the Riverwalk. We did this last year too and had such a great time.

We rode down the river it really is such a beautiful city.

The Riverwalk has such a neat atmosphere.

I think that is the mall above the river.

Caleb gets 2 free tickets to Sea World every year for being in the Navy so we made sure to stop by Sea World San Antonio.

Such a perfect vacation. Plus we got paid to go, so that's always a bonus!

Okay now to my embarrassing experience at Lackland AFB I finished this post a while ago but didn't want to remember this embarrassing story so I've put it off. =) I'll just use bullet points to tell the good parts.

Caleb took my military ID with him to work.
I didn't know my way around the base at all.
I had to flip multiple U'eys because I was about to go off base and couldn't get back on w/o ID.
On base (here at Hill Field AFB too) at 7:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. they play taps on base and apparently everything pauses. Cars stop and pedestrians stand still.
I finally found the stupid commissary and went it to do some serious shopping.
I got to the check out and was asked for ID (which I thought was weird) so I showed them my Drivers License.
Apparently they meant my military ID which I didn't have so I couldn't buy my groceries. Luckily they didn't make me put everything away.

When Caleb got home I was so distraught. I told him what had happened and he didn't get mad at me because he thought my experience was punishment enough.
